About the club
Seven Dials (formerly St Luke's) Badminton Club is one of the oldest clubs in the county having been going since well before 1965 (which is as far back as our records go).
We welcome all adults to the club but regret that we do not offer subscriptions to those under the age of 18.
The club is primarily targeted at those who wish to play for social and fitness reasons and currently we do not have teams in any of the local leagues.
As we have no formal coaching available we are not suitable for beginners but apart from that we welcome players of all ability. Experience has shown us that it is very hard for players to judge their own standard so really the only way to know if the club's standard is right for you is to come along and play for an evening or two.
The club provides the nets and shuttlecocks, we play exclusively with feather shuttles, but members need to provide their own racquet. The sports hall is of modern design with no obstructions, high ceilings and no direct overhead lighting. The sports hall has a manned reception and there is free parking available outside the sports hall with an overflow in another part of the school grounds.
